About Us
Shout for an Electrician has been established since February 2007 providing a professional service to the domestic sectors in and around the South Devon area.
Due to the immediate need for the skills and reputation of Shout for an Electrician, I, director Andy Shout recruited five staff and purchased four vans during March 2007 to cope with demand following a successful and continuing advertising campaign in local newspapers and magazines. The half page advertisement in the Thomson directory has proved fruitful as has the link with Yellow Pages enabling potential customers to contact me by dialling 118 247 or by logging on to the Yell.com website and finding me listed first amongst my competitors.
Each of the vans carry the distinctive lightning livery to enable the company branding to be recognised wherever the vans go and another way of promoting the professional reputation we promise is always our first priority.
The Shout4 brand was delivered direct to your home in May 2007 with the launch of this user friendly website that you are visiting now, which will shortly enable you to read customer comments and to see pictures of the quality of work we carry out. In October 2007 Shout for an Electrician was nominated in the category of Best New Business in the South Devon Excellence Awards 2007, a competition run by the regional development agency, the Herald Express and Torbay Innovation Centre. I was proud to reach the finals in the hugely popular category and invited to display and promote my company in an exhibition at the new South Devon College followed by a champagne reception and awards ceremony presented by Susan Osman from BBC News 24.
I was overwhelmed to be awarded first place in my category. It is a great honour and a fantastic achievement to be recognised as the Best New Business and true recognition to my team for the 24 hour 365 day a year service we provide.

During 2008 regulations were updated and all domestic work must now be carried out to 17th edition regulations. Shout for an Electrician were proud to lead the way and were the first local company to ensure every member of staff carries the required qualification.
